Aburi is 30 Km North of Accra on the Akuapem hills at 1200 feet elevation. In colonial times, it was used at a retreat for official visitors and others who needed to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. Entrance Fees - At the entrance to the garden, you have to pay a gate fee.

The palm walk is an avenue of elegant palm (Roystonea regia) of about 274 meters long stretching from the main entrance of the garden to the car park. Accommodation - Within Aburi Botanic Gardens, there is an old colonial style hotel.
